About Tony Jackson

Tony Jackson, a 1974 Forney High graduate, went on to play football at SMU as a linebacker. Tony Jackson was a success story in spite of difficult circumstances and bad personal choices in his youth. He returned to Forney and dedicated his life to teaching, coaching, and preaching for over 21 years from 1994-2015. Referred to as, the “Gentle Giant,” he was often quoted saying, “I’m just a nobody, who tries to tell everybody, about somebody who can save anybody.” He also served as the reverend at Lone Star Baptist Church in Kaufman County.
